Here are some dyno pulls with mufflers from one of the mags. My stingers gained 1 ft-lb and almost 3 hp!

AFM - Exhaust Shootout 1

Seriously, though, I didn't know the stock mufflers weigh 32 lbs. Both Stingers only weigh 15 lbs. Too bad it's removing weight from the wrong end!

Weight is weight. Less is better regardless of where..

Horsepower gives an advantage on the straights; weight reduction works everywhere.

I painted my polished tips black, with caliper paint. It either made the car faster, or slowed down the sound so it's about ten yards behind the car at 65MPH. No drone. Not much of anything, actually.

Gains will be small, but you get at least 20hp for sounding cool!

nope ran a straight pipe setup for a good while , well actually ran a muffler delete , then ran a full straight pipe setup i highly suggest the muffler delete but i would not run the straight pipes they were awful loud
