I was at a stoplight when a man on his cellphone in his CRV rammed right into my rear right side of the bumper at about 25 mph the air bags didnt deploy and the only seeable damage is to the bumper and the fact that the trunk wont close. The car performed entirely different veering to the left as I drove it home and the shifter stick vibrated intensely under my hand instead of just a bit also the shift into third seemed to feel a bit different as well. What I am asking is will this make me lose any performance from my car and can it be fixed?

If the frame is messed up then I am pretty sure the car will feel very differently, and because things are misaligned it will perform worse. I am not sure if a hit at 25mph would mess it up that much though.

I think i might just be freaking out over nothing but Im just curious about why the shifter felt so wobbly after the crash as opposed to before, is the clutch off or trans or something along those lines?

A good shop should be able to measure underneath to see if body is bent out of line.If it is,a good one can pull it back into specs.Also check for broken or bent mounts(rear,motor,trans,etc.Good luck.

The rear axle might have been knocked out of kilter.
Id say its outa kilter. must have hit the tire with a good lick.
