Shelby GT500 throttle body on GT'S hey Is there anyone out there running a stock Shelby GT500 or bbk Shelby GT500 65mm throttle body on their GT??? I seen there is a throttle body adaptor to make it work. The bbk replace the stock Shelby throttle body and get 7-12hp on the GT500. the Shelby throttle body installed on a GT gets some where around 12hp. So now if I used the bbk 65mm and the throttle body adaptor to make the stock Shelby GT500 throttle body I should get way more then 15hp out of it will this work?? Or should I just put the stock Shelby GT500 65mm on with adaptor??

I'm running the GT500 TB on mine. You can't use the adaptor with the BBK TB (which is 62mm by the way).

I have thought about doing this mod but the cheapest kit I have found is around 480 so for lets say a gain of 10hp that's almost about $48 per HP. seemed a little expensive..
Question since we are on the subject, With this mod you can still use a intake made for the gt though correct?

At $319 that makes the mod a lot more attractive $25-$27 per hp, and I just ordered my delete plates
Though I heard RPMOutlet has a horrible rep

They are a little slow to ship but I've bought from them 9 or 10 times with no major problems.

I have one from RPMoutlet but I called them and checked to make sure they had one in stock. It came in 4 days.
I'm going to install it when we can get back on the dyno and check the tune at Tillmans.

It requires no changes to your tune.

You wont see 15Hp from any aftermarket TB unless you are pushing high boost levels.

I know, we were going to do some changes to the tune for other items. Then a before and after pulls to see what difference it makes for some real numbers.
