It sounds like you may have a short. Check the electrical wiring for the window motor.

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes.

I'm not sure what the answer is but there is a mechanism (sensor?) or some device that automatically lowers the windows when you press the button for the top to go down. It would appear that whatever that automatic device is has malfunctioned.

for a quick fix roll them up almost all the way with like a centimeter left and then push the down button and they will stop almost completely rolled up and that will be fine....but this same thing happened to me

its a battery issue, i took it to advance auto and they tested my battery and said it was fine, and since i didnt believe them i went ahead and bought one at walmart and the problem never happened again...are you having trouble starting your car...like is it cranking for a long time?...i dont know if i asked that right haha

I would check the SJB behind the right kick panel. They have been known to get wet.

The reset procedure is to roll the windows down and hold the button for an additional 2 seconds and then roll them up and hold for two seconds..

Sounds like she still has global windows enabled. If that's the case, she'll have to have the dealer disable it.

In the past week my driver's side window started freaking out. With to door opened it would do a little dance going up and down that last 1/8". What Stl mentioned did fix it.

It's come back a couple times and every time the reset has fixed it. My next step is to check out the SJB (as Traveler mentioned). I'm also wondering if whatever sensor is in the door that indicates the door is shut is malfunctioning.

What does SJB stand for? I've been having issues with the window as well not rolling backup after it auto shifts down when you get in and does not shift backup when the door is closed. My car had a water leak on the passenger side kick panel too. I hear several cars have this issue. The SJB may have gotten wet? Not trying to high jack this thread, just that you may have had or have water or mositure behind the kick panel it's more common than I knew.

Smart Junction Box. Fuse block behind the passenger kick panel is attached to it.
