the auto tranny should withstand upto 600-650 hp.

Not without iternal and programing changes. A converter is very importat to operate correctly.
"The factory transmission is calibrated for soft, lazy shifts," Barrett says. "The calibration is so close that any modifications to the engine's power output causes the transmission to slip. The 5R55S needs calibration of the ECM, transmission, and torque converter to get the power to the wheels. Without combining the engine management to the transmission calibration, you won't have success with getting the car to use all of the available power you've put into it."

you should also look into the new Roush TVS, very efficient, new tech, and it produces 500+hp with just 5psi!!!

That's funny, I know someone with three GT500's with Whipples and right before a competition Ford said because they were sponsoring him they wanted him to run a TVS. They sent him one for free, he put it on, tuned it to death and ended up with 100 less HP than the Whipple. He still had to run it though. To quote him
"I would rather pay for a Whipple than run a TVS for free"
I prefer to get my power making advice from the guys on the ground with no agenda. Not the magazines that are slaves to their advertisers.
