How much would it cost to fix this 2008 Mustang Bullitt?
Hey all, i ran across this 08 bullitt with 1200 miles on it. Its going for 12,000 and was wondering how much it would cost to fix. If its not to much it looks really worthwhile!
uhh, well find a rolling chassis from a s197 body style and mouth the body on that because it looks to me like the frame is shot, other than that if the engine and tranny are good, ide say talk them down, because even though its a bullitt, $12,000 for a SALVAGE title is WAY too much, i wouldnt pay 12k for a salvage Bugatti Veyron,( ok thats the only exception lol
just check everything on it, and give us more info

How does the frame look shot? It looks damn good for a salvage. The airbags weren't even deployed. I just need a few parts in the engine (rad, maybe some other stuff i didn't see) and some body panels. I just wanted to know if it would be worthwhile.

The most importat question is what kind of title does it have. The condition of the car is secodary until you figure out if you can even put it on the street again.

If it's titled as a salvage, that would hurt future value.
That sure is true.
In August I hit a deer and didn't have half that damage and the total cost complete was around $6500. Looks like somebody lifted the intake and radiator out complete. It appears like damage on the rear fenders, too.

The front end doesn't appear to be crumpled at all, from the pictures. Looks more like someone stripped the front end. The hood isn't buckled, even the bumper supports seem intact. It's possible there is more damage underneath, and I'm not an expert. But the salvage title, wouldn't be worth it, IMO
I don't know a lot about titles and whatnot, but that car looks fine, minus a few parts here and there. You can get replacement body parts on ebay for relatively cheap. Barring any mechanical/electrical problems, you could be looking at around $17-20K for a Bullitt after it's all said and done. Not a bad deal if that's what you want.
There's a reason the person who owns it now isn't doing what you intend to do. What's that reason?
Otherwise, if you have the resources (cash money, skills, tools, space) it might be a good project.
Yeah. You need to find out everything about it, and there's always the things they won't tell you. You could be getting into a bigger job than you're intending.
You know? If they could simply put in the few missing engine parts and the front bumper and hood, would they be selling it, for 12k?
I don't know, just my 2 cents. Good luck!
