Default 2008 mustang gt CAI question

I currently have a BBK CAI and i think it's okay but since I have fallen into a finacial slum I am going to work with N/A + Nitrous package since I already have it.

I recently talked with MMR and asked them about intakes and they said they have an 85mm and an 98mm for my mustang. The BBK is only an 83mm and I know the C & L Racer is great for this type of application due to it's 95mm intake although if they have a 98mm would that be the upgrade to get for this application.

Does anyone have this Kit from MMR that is 98mm
and yes I know that's a lot more air but iam going to upgrade my cams and get duel gt40 pumps for my fuel.

If you take the area of a 95mm MAF 7084.625mm and the area of the stock TB 2374.625mm. So you don't need anything larger then the 95mm MAF. Even if you change to the GT 500 TB you still will be more the the TB can flow.

I wouldn't go bigger than 95mm. Also, metal is better than plastic for nitrous.

I think you need to recheck your math:

  • Stock MAF diameter is 80 mm, Area = 5,026 sq/mm
  • Racer MAF diameter is 95 mm, Area = 7,088 sq/mm

I didn't list the stock MAF, just the Throttle Body. And I only used 3.14 for pie and not the eating kind.

Personally if i could cuse on here I would.
dont post stupid stuff about rechecking my math read the question i never said anything about the stock maf. I said that the BBK is only 83mm and the Racer is 95mm although mmr has a 98mm out and if it was necessary to go that big. mmr's is cheaper for more mm $229 vs $269

If it doesn't help dont post it

I have heard of people spraying with plastic tubes and not having problems but would it help that I have a plate nitrous system and not a intake nitrous system. i am just asking not having any experience with plastic intakes the only one I have ever had has been metal.

Did you mean to quote Traveler? He wasn't the one talking about re-checking math it was GeoStang and GeoStang wasn't directing it at you but at Traveler. Misdirected animosity
