It may be that they got lucky

. Our situation is complex when it comes to workin on the car. My son is in the Navy and 200 miles away from my location so when it comes to doing things it is tight on time. The thing that bothers me is it might just be this intake, when I got the mix up taken care of (shipped me a 95mm instead of 80mm) when I recieved the new one and took it out of the package there were alum. chips and cutting fluid (I am a machinist so I know what I am talking about) in the alum, intake housing

so it might just be a quality issue with this particular one , but our situation doesn't allow to much screwin around time especially since he was in Phila. for christmas and he had only a week to take care of it. I will be calling WMS after the New year to see what is or could be goin on. I might just keep it and buy it from him. I should be getting my car within the next couple of months
