Shimmering noise on acceleration?

Hello everyone. Another noise diagnostic problem. I get this shimmering noise (that's the best way I can describe it) when the car is warm and I am accelerating lightly to moderately when the car I shift from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th usually when entering the hwy. At hwy speeds I can hear it faintly . I hear it on the drivers-side almost right under my feet. I did a quick check on the heatshield and it seems to be pretty tight.

It might just be clutch noise.

Or look at the exhaust hangers that the rubber hasn't deteriorated.

Could be that tsb for the center stack rattle.

There are a few different things that can cause it, you almost have to hear it to make a educated guess.

Guess I just don't know what a shimmering noise sounds like.

I don't think it's the exhaust. I checked everything last week when I had the cats installed. I might take it to on Monday and see if they can duplicate the sound.

It almost sound like high pitched metal to metal rubbing sound. The sound seems to go away <1 min after reaching hwy speeds.

That one of those thing your just going to have to look around. I just thought of something. check the motor mounts if the liquid is gone it might be doing that.

I was listening for the sound again today. I am also hearing it on the hwy when I lightly press the gas peddle. I don't hear it all the time.

What's changed since the sound started? My guess is it's related to the cats...

I'll have person who installed the cats take a look. I hope he can duplicate the sound. Come to think of it, I believe it started around the same time the cats were installed.

It could just be the sound of the new cats..
