I am wondering if you guys knew were i can get my heads ported at i was at first going to go f/i now i changed my mind i want to stick to n/a and i want to get my heads ported and get a set of cams put in. i called the guys at jdm and they said they will port my heads and put the cams in for $4300. Is this a good deal any other ideas on what to do besides that? any input will be great thanks..

Does that price include the cams? Is that porting your heads?

I would say that is not a good deal even if it includes parts and labor.

If it includes new heads without a core charge it would be a super deal.

The way the guy told me was that if they ported my heads they could take some off of that price so im guessing that with that price it is new heads and yes it includes the cams and install of both things.

I would look at Livernois. you can get 2 different stages for half the price. So I don't think it would cost that much for cams. Here is there web site.

I had my heads ported and polished with new cams installed for 1,200.00 and I supplied the parts. I used a local guy.

Heck, the cost to have a set of castings done by a top guy for our race car was only $3,500. I think the price they quoted may be a little high. Do you know any local speed shops that you can talk to? I know we have several people that do our heads locally and you can probably get a better deal.

Here were i live there is nothing like that at all its just a little town the only places i know that do that is jdm and i am about 300-350 miles away and if i can go somwere closer for less money that would be great i just know none around me i thought that price was a lil high thats why i asked.

livernois is grade a and yep they do installs too i just ordered my stroker kit from them last week as a matter of fact lol ( oh wait i mean intake yea intake lol )

Fox-Lake PnP'd my heads and set up the cams in my heads,did a great job!
