So, I'm in the oh so lovely state of Virginia last night, and I need to go to the bank. The closest bank is on the top of the steepest incline I've ever seen. And I've recently lowered my car. But I make the choice to negotiate it anyway.
And I bottom out. Pretty hard too. So now, every time I go over the slightest imperfection in the road (read: bump, divet), I hear an awful clunking noise. I haven't been able to jack it up to peek underneath, and frankly it's just too low to see anything while it's on the ground.
I'm scared! What could this be? What could I have done to my baby girl? Help? Advice?

The best thing to do is get it on a lift. I did the same thing in Oklahoma. Dented the oil pan and messed you the tranny. Started out as a clank and rattle. Then lost the whole tranny.
ya i would think u just knocked the exhaust loose but to be on the safe side get it on a lift to check the oil pan. can u tell if the nosie is comong from the front or back

I looked underneath as best as I could during my lunch hour, and it looks as if one of the clamps for my midpipe is in a different place than I had it.
The noise is definitely coming from the front. I hope I just knocked the exhaust loose. Nigel's got me paranoid.

Until you get it up on a lift there's no way to be sure.
Yep it is the exhaust I did a simialar thing on a high speed bump.Man I am glad I did not lower my car. It is a easy fix , the hardest part is getting it up to work on.I drove mine up on some ramps.
