Default Squeaky noise from rear cabin

Hello all, I have a question and I am curious if anyone has experienced the same. Occasionally I have a squeaky noise / metal on metal rubbing coming from my rear cabin that I beleive I have isolated behind my rear passenger seat or trunk area. It is annoying and I would like to silence it. I am sure it is a minor fix and all help is appreciated, thanks!!

2006 Mustang GT, I have recently installed Eibach Pro Kit Springs and 2 Chamber Delta Flow mufflers.

I haven't heard anything in that region of the car, but I do hear the annoying rattling sound coming from driver/passenger side door handle. I'm assuming that some of you have heard the plastic that rests behind the handles rattle? it amazes me, how much stuff on the inside is actually plastic. but she is still a beauty

I have this same rattle or squeak from this exact area, it can drive me crazy sometimes. Sounds as its coming from the plastic over the hooks where you fold the back seats down.
Yeah it´s a lot of plastic , and cheap one to

It could be the upper control arm bushing..

There is no grease fitting on those. I'm not convinced that is the issue though. Best to get it up on a lift and check clearances and torque specs on everything.

Didn't want to start a new thread:I just had my 2005 GT out for the 1st time in a month. Just before coming to a complete stop, I feeling a shift in the left rear area. It's not a noise but a definite slip or shifting feeling.
I have not touched my LCA's or adjustable UCA w/ CHE mount since installing a few thousand miles ago.

You could have a split bushing in one of your LCAs.

Thx Stl, If that is the problem, can it be seen by crawling under or does the LCA need to be removed? The LCA's are Steeda. I imagine you an get replacement bushing from them? Damn, I was just 10 miles away from Steeda last week.

From your sig I see you have aftermarket mufflers. I too have a squeak from "the rear of the cabin" so to speak. I didn't have the squeak when I left the dealership. I have an intermittent squeak (not a mouse Gary Paul) that I am pretty sure is caused by the install of my aftermarket mufflers. I think the wire muffler hangers are moving in the isolators and causing my squeaking.....gonna see if I can stop it with something in the spring (in storage now).

Look like I will join the squeaky club. I too have a squeak coming from the rear seat area. I am beginning to wonder if it's my lca or my UCA. When I had the UCA installed, the rear seat was removed. Ever since then, I have been hearing this squeaking. I have tried stop squeak spray, removing and re-installing the rear seat, but nothing works. Could be the LCAs. I installed steeda LCA about 4 mths ago. Up until just recently, everything was okay.

It would need to be removed and inspected to find out...

To the OP it could be mufflers. I get a squeak/rattle sometimes. It seems to occur when car is warm and really shows up if I am driving up a hill in 5th. When I park I try wiggling the exhaust and can't reproduce it. Sometime I am going to drive the car around and then put it on jack stands and start it to find out if the exhaust system is expanding far enough to generate the rattle. I know the exhaust cools fairly rapidly so it can be hard to isolate.

I wonder if the inside bushing can be replaced on the Steeda LCA?
Anone having noise after installing and UCA and or mount … get it greased up again. Mine wasn't greased enough when installed and it made all kinds of squeaks, groans and other bothersome noises.
We put it back up on the lift and greased it up and zero noises ever since.
This new sound is definitely the left rear in my car.
It's freezing out and lots of snow on the way, so a the stang today!!!
