Default 2005 Mustang GT installed HID Headlights

I've got a 2005 GT. I've installed HID headlights but now condensation keeps forming inside the headlight housing. I've replaced each housing once and it still keeps happening........and this is getting expensive. Suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

you probably need to seal the housings with a bead of clear silicone along the seams. take your time if you decide to do this. it can get very messy.

If you do that make sure it a dry day, or use a hair drier to dry up any moistrue in there and then install the light assy. Just a thought.

Not sure which bulb you actually use with your 2005. My Foose used an H4 instead of the H13. With the H4 bulb, you have to use the large rubber boot that was part of the original bulb installation. It fits around the HID bulb and seals the bulb on the back side of the housing to prevent water intrusion.

I ran HID aftermarket on my last Foose and on my current one and have not had any problems with moisture.

Take the headlights out, use a hairdryer to dry out the insides and let it sit out for a few hours. Then put back together with RV silicone at the seams and where any wires come out. Problem solved. And yes take your time, when I was doing it the back side of the silicone tube exploded, not good for me, as I had silicone all over my hands. BTW it does not come off with water. Water just makes it worse. I know that now, didn't then.
