my friend's got the same set up except his final gears are 4.10's. right now hes running a 13.6/13.5 and hes seeing if the hot rod cams will get him there. the cams work great on an FI motor. i have them on a whipple charged auto with a tci streetfighter and they brought me up from 444.4 whp and 424.2 wheel ft/lb torq to 498.5 whp and 597.6 wheel ft/lb torq. the shop that tuned my car tuned a similar car with them before mine and it gave that car 28-40 whp depending on the tune he was running. but for the build youre looking at, id go with some ported heads with forged valves and some good rollers, lifters and springs. theyll drop the compression ratio but will make it easier on the stock block with the kenne bell if you get that right now. but, the whipple on a stock block with 8 lbs was plenty fun when i first got it. just get the supercharger and build it from there, its easier to do everything once and be done instead of going through two completely different motor builds.
