Hello everyone. I am looking to put a cold air intake on my mustang and I was hoping to get some advice on which one to get. First question, is it worth the few hundred bucks to even buy one? I have the stock system with a K&N filter. If the majority says there is a noticable performance gain then which system is best? My biggest concern is that I do not want to hear any type of sucking air noise while driving. I also do not want to have the hassle of re-programming the computer. Any input would be appreciated.
You really can't do much better than you have now without a CAI and tune. Maybe around 12 more HP with the JLTII CAI that requires no tune.
Nice looking car by the way.

That pretty much eliminates 85-90% of your choices.

+1
Hell, that's half the fun and enjoyment. A tune seems to make it even more so. When those throttle blades snap open, I want an aural clue that something happened to go along with the push in the seat!
I understand that Buick's are pretty quiet at WOT............
I bought the C&L street kit a while back on Ebay. You gotta love half price mods. Anyhow, I didn't have the cash for a tuner at the time, so I ran it with the no tune insert and was very happy with the power and torque increase that I got. I went straight from the full stock set up to the C&L, so I don't know how much of a gain you can get over the highflow filter you already are running. I can tell you that when I lucked into a 200 dollar deal on a Diablosport tuner (that had the C&L tune preloaded) I was even happier. I popped the insert out, loaded the tune in about 10 minutes and fell in love with my car all over again. If you decide to go with a CAI, the C&L is nice because of the option to go with a tune sometime down the road.

If that is the conditions you need then stay with what you have.
