Post stock block handling HP question.4.6 Litre

ok so how much will our stock block handle not the internals but the block itself cause i was gonna buy the mmr 5.0 stroker which is 3200 but i can buy the stroker internals for 1800 for the stock block which i will build myself but im just wondering if the stock block it self can handle lets say 700hp

Yes, the block will easily handle that....the rotating assemby is another story.

It appears from ads like MMR etc that the stock block (not internals) is used for most options up to at least 950hp. The stock block is an option in most of the short blocks for sale. There is apparently a more recent block that is better, but I am not familiar with it. I really think from what I have read that the stock alum block is ok for 700, but mmv. I do plan to take mine up to about 600 with new internals, so I am with you on the concern about it.

NICE!!
I never knew that the new alum 4.6 blocks will handle that much power!! The 5.0 blocks are good for 500 and your pushing it there from what I hear. Yeah you do have to remember that the rotating assemblies are still not the strongest. But the block handling 700 HP with no problem is something I have not heard although I am still stuck on the 302

The block itself is very good. If the pistons and connecting rods were better, this would be a great engine.

There are people running 1000 RWHP on the stock aluminum block
Its a great block. The crank, rods and pistons arent so great but if you replace them..... 700 RWHP no issue.

You'd need to replace the crank in that case.
