Default When would 05+ NA GT benefit from colder plugs??

As per the title of the thread, when would a 05+ NA GT benefit from running colder plugs?

While I will not be adding nitrous, I have most the basic bolt-ons covered and will be adding FRPP hotrod cams in a couple weeks, and a dyno tune following the cam install.

As this will be it for performance mods on this car, curious to know your thoughts on the plugs. Thanks.

Colder plugs are just to prevent detonation and would not be needed unless you are FI or spraying. You actually might lose a little if you ran colder plugs without FI or nitrous.

How would you lose power since you are not always in the nitrous and some people may not use it for weeks at a time im not so sure you would lose power, im curious to see what others have to say?

You will never benefit from colder plugs. In fact, all they're going to do is foul faster.

Same reason you will beneifit from an MSD coil ignition system. You get better spark.

Also there is a stage hotter plug available that claims it runs better than the standard OEM heat range.

Running colder pugs when not necessary is not a good idea.
It can easily lead to fouling of the plugs.

I agree... Nothing good can come from colder plugs.

Thanks, also what I was thinking, just wanted some assurance in the event I get a call during the tuning.

Look forward to seeing the final dyno reults with the delete plates and cams, in addition to the mods below.

Hope to see the 330-340RWHP level after tuning. Sounds about right?

I think around 320 would be more like it, but you should not lose any low end torque like you would with cams that require limiters/lockouts.

I would suspect you'll see a 30-35 rwhp increase.

Thanks - this would be inline with the 30-35RWHP suggested below.

Thanks. Have been reading quite a bit about the air/oil serarator you are using. Based on your experiences with the 05+ GT's, do you think this is a door idea for all engines? I look forward to seeing my valves once removed to see if their is a build-up after 10000 miles.

While I got you here - any engine limitations you see on my ride given it is a daily driver? Thanks. Dave

I would strongly recommend an air/oil separator..
