Angry fuel pump problem

please i have a question about my 2006 gt-mustang fule pump. let me start off by telling a little about my baby-she is black 2006 gt she has 20"foose rims on her and is lowered, i got her when shse only had 8,000 miles on her.she was taken very good care of before i got her and even better care of now. my question is i never let my gas get below 1/4 of a tank-also i never go on dirt roads never/i have her cleaned all the time, no one has ever been in my back seat i only use the middle grade of bp only gas never low grade or high grade or cheep gas only bp ever.. i have won many many car shows with her, the question i have is that i was going home the other day and she put me on the side of the road, and would not run, i did get home and the next day at 6:30 a.m. was sitting at the ford service to have it checked out, that called back and said it was the fule pump and this is a lot of money to fix, but all i need to now is with only 26,000 miles on her never burn a tire oil change every 3000 miles and take care of her-do not park beside anybody at any time. how long should thay last and why would it go out now. thanks

The fuel pump part # is 7R3Z9H307C and it costs $278.20 from Ford. It's really a fairly simple install.

If you're so inclined, here are the instructions on replacing the pump.

Default fuel pump problems

Just an FYI. I have a 2005 mustang. took delivery in august 05. I have now (as of monday) had 4 fuel pumps replaced in this car. This last replacement was finally the new model pump..... fingers crossed.
However, now the car is running on 6 -7 cyl. as the spark plugs are now the issue. be prepared for a bill of $500 -1200 for those to be replaced. (also with new model plugs) I have currently started arbitration with the lemon law on this car as those issues just scratch the surface of my problems.
