Unhappy Stack Racing Sequential Tail Lights Fail... Again.

What??? NO! Seriously? C'mon! Not again! Please?? Aww, c'mon now! Seriously, what the hell? Why won't you work? I can't believe this! WHY do you keep breaking!? Ugh... Wahh.... AND YOU CALL THIS QUALITY!? God it.Help me out guys... I can't keep going through this! I'm about to give up! Or do something else! () And jeez... Why is it so difficult for Stack Racing to manufacture working sequential tail lights? More importantly... Why would American Muscle sell these!? Maybe I'm just unlucky. This makes me sad. And want to do this!

That about sums it up.

Over a month ago, I purchased a set of Stack Racing Sequential Tail Lights from American Muscle. They worked well, up until about 2 weeks ago, when the left tail light began to "blink" instead of fire sequentially. As in all 3 sections at once.

So, my good pals over at American Muscle were kind enough to send me a replacement pair. I got them last Saturday and installed them, February the 21st. I installed a new one into the left... Worked great, until I pushed the unlock button on my car and only the outer 2 lights on the left tail light lit up. Wow. New modules, already malfunctioning. So I put in the other ones.

Yup, two days later, on February 23rd, the left tail light is once again blinking instead of firing sequentially.

Wahhhhhhh!!!

(I would post another army of sad smilies, but I think I got my point across in the beginning )

So, here's my question. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or should I send them back and get a refund?

I'm looking into getting the CDC Dynamite Stick Sequential Tail Lights. Classic Design Concepts is a company I think I can trust. A little higher price tag... But damn... I'd spend about anything to get some functioning sequentials.

Thanks for any help!
-Preston

Hate to say it man, but I would send them back and get my refund. Im sure there'll be some posts about some excellent quality websites. As for my view, I ordered off mustangsequentials.com (which now apparently isn't even up anymore.......Nice) and mine haven't given me any problems........Yet. Its just a quality issue sometimes. 07 gt

Cool, thanks. Which version of the WE's? They seem to sell 2 different ones... A set of $120 ones and $150 ones. I think the more expensive are the Ford OEM's they changed.

And do they sequence when braking? Thanks!

And thanks for the other responses, guys!

if you want more than just sequentials (chase!) go with meter-4-it... you can change the jumper and have normal lights, sequential or chase...

I am sorry to hear that... how frustrating!!

I have the CDCs - I think they have a 3 year warranty... I just checked into it because I thought I was having a problem with my sequentials, but it was my front left marker light causing a sequential misfire...

I can attest to CDCs Sequential customer service, excellent.

If I recall correctly, Web Elecs miss 1 sequence that CDC has... I can't remember what it is though.

Ahem..Speaking from experience. I got a set made by web electric from American Muscle. Once side didn't work correctly, so they sent me a new set made by stack racing which are working fine so far. The web electric connectors are chrome plated and the stack racing ones are not.
I took the nonfunctional set apart and found a small circuit board with a few chips on it. I used to do assemble and repair circuit boards so I just may try to repair it. I like the web electrics better because it dosen't have a "thing" hanging off the harness that resembles a "thing"

So, you are saying the Web Electrics broke too!?

But you like them better? I like the idea of chrome plating, too.

Did you make sure all the bulbs are working fine, it might be worth it to replace the bulbs and see if that helps. I have the stack racing and no problems here.

Bulbs are working perfect, they still light up... Like I already mentioned...

Maybe the front one is out causing them to blink fast instead of sequence. Do the brakes work?

As for me I've had the Webelectrics for just over 14 months and they work great.

I bought the WebElectric ones from their eBay store for $69.99 in October of 2005. They have worked flawlessly since day 1. You have to run a wire pair from the taillights to the SJB to keep the brake lights from sequencing.
