I recently installed axel back borla stingers and I am now looking to install a cold air intake system. I have been looking at K&N and Airaid but I am not sure which would offer better performance.
Hey Jesse; You forgot, to tell him with the JLT CAI and X Cal3 the model. The X Cal-3, model# 3000 if you get the other it will just be a canned tune. Sorry about that Jesse, still use to the X Cal-2 which is the same as the X3, which stores up to 3 custom tunes. The other models you don't want, are anything that starts with SF-3. They're the same as the older Strategy Flash model# 9450. SCT is constantly changeing, first it was the X Cal-3 now they just call it the X3. Anyway Jesse was right, JLT CAI with an X3 SCT Custom Tuner. The SCT SF3 model #s 3015 and 3030 are preloaded canned tunes. I still tune, with my X Cal-2 9400 and Advantage 3 Dealer Custom Tuning Software. Either way, you want a custom tune not a canned tune, Mike. SCT Tuner.

Reason: Model #
The only thing that makes me skeptical about a tune is the fact that my friend ordered the jlt and sct combo from AM and it slowed him way down off the line. He has an 05 gt and ive got an 06 and i smoked him in 1/8 mile and all ive done to mine is the axle back exhaust
Also i was looking at the bamachips website and was wondering what the section about calibration code or strategy is.

Give Chris at Tillmans a call about the different tunes availiable with the CAIs. I have the C&L racer and it works great. There are a few better CAIs then the two you picked. If your friend wants a tune that will kick his butt dyno tell him to give Chris a call also.

Go to Bammachips.com for a realy good custom tune. I have the airraid and l love it. If I have to go to the dealer I just plug and play the stock tune back in. I do not have to put the stock air box back in. I could not afford to buy a tuner at the same time so I went with the airraid CAI. Doug at Bama told me that the JLT would give me about 5 more hp. I could not even feel that so I guess I did ok.
