I am ready for my Kooks headers and was wondering if I should get the catted H pipes or the X pipes as this is a spring/summer/fall DD. Also should I expect any problems w/ the install and the emissions/O2 sensors? got any recommendations for a supplier/dealer for these?
Dude since you have to keep the cats I would go with American Racing LT`S . The Kooks will give you some clearance issues, They are great though. The X-PIPE IS raspy, The H is deeper growl.

Oh yeah, one more thing - I am going to be running the Kooks LT's (and X or H) with my SLP Loudmouths. Will the SLP's effect my decision in getting the X or H?
I just went through this problem... what finally made me happy with the AR LT's & cat'd X was the Magnaflow cat-back... The X pipes certainly don't sound as good as the H pipes but they supposedly flow better, but I have never seen anyone prove that there's a big difference..
I think my best advice to you would be that IF you go with an X pipe, DON'T use "chambered", box-style mufflers (i.e. Flowmaster Super 40); use a can shape or traditional shape with tube-style baffles (i.e. Magnaflow, Borla, FRPP, etc.).

I run the complete Kooks setup of LTHs and catted X-pipe. The only time I have any clearance issues is if I high center the car and thats because of the cats and me not paying attention!

How much louder with the LT's make my set up?
Loudmouths with headers are not a great combo. I ended up selling mine after about 6 weeks.
go with the Kooks L/T's with catted H pipe and a chambered muffler. This will give you a deep muscle car sound. The rear o2's will need to be turned off or you will throw codes. Choosing the H or X is a matter of sound preference. Performance differences are minimal with the X set up having a slight advantage.
