Old thread.... but.. I got 4.10s and my overall Milage increased due to being able to driv ein a higher gear at 45mph.

I averaged 25.5mpg between Knox and Atlanta... 75mph, 2500RPM and the Borlas sounded oh so sweet.

First gear is not a problem... the 4,10 actually makes it easier to walk it off the line in traffic, use 2nd to acclerate, and skip 3rd to go to 4th for crusing in town.

Don't fear the gear, and don't try to compare how this engine will do with the way a 2V will. I have never head anyone wish they had less gear, but many have stopped short and wish they would have went the next step lower.

I have a 07 shelby GT and I put 4.10's in mine, its great, however, I am going to add a supercharger in the future, and I think the 4.10's may be a little steep. I have a set of kooks headers and a catted x pipe on order and should be here in a week , I'm going to use the stock axle backs, looking forward to hearing it with headers.
