2006 automatic. Whipple HO intercooled kit. Apparently it's advertised at 11 lbs, but my dyno sheet only shows 9.6 lbs max, and 462 hp & 442 lb/ft.... So basically, what I wanna know is, should I be mad I only got 9.6 punds of boost from a 10 or 11 lb kit? or should I be happy that my 500hp kit put 462hp to the ground (assuming you need more than 500 at the flywheel to get 462 to the ground)?
I know we need numbers to show the differences on paper, but sometimes the numbers only add to the confusion!

Any problems with your 06 Mustang automatic handling the power of a supercharger. Has anyone had a problem with supercharging an automatic 06 Mustang GT.

I second this. There is so much attention about supercharging. A few days ago I never even considered one...even said as much in my first post. Now, I am almost thinking it is one of the first things I'd get/do.

So what are the relaibility issues with the stock motor, especially the bottom end? And what about clutch and driveline components?

Is it one of those "hey, if you gotta ask, you can't afford it situations" or just hook one up, tune it and by driving halfway sane, keep all the drivetrain parts in the same general locations?

The Edelbrock E-Force is a TVS (not a twin-screw).

So far so good - I built the tranny and changed the torque converter, and swapped in a 1-pc drive shaft w/ safety loop for longevity / dependability, as the tranny is not rated for that much power and very likely would disassemble itself eventually . Popular belief is the factory bottom end of the 3-valve is good for 450-500 HP with proper tune. More than that and forged internals are highly recommended.

My understanding with stick cars is that you would need a stronger clutch; tranny is fine.

If I could go back I probly would have gone the turbo route rather than a SC but thats because I had it for awhile and want more power. but no probs having my Whipple it runs great after 1 year and 20k, I still have alot of fun with it and I haven't even got the most out of it yet with a pulley change. Force Fed is the way to go! just make sure you take care of your blower.. I had to refill the oil once so far and change the serpentine belt after it started sqeeking.
