Default Tuning after Delete plates installed.

Just had my car on the dyno for tuning after delete plates installed. Tuner was able to get 445rwhp and 400plus torque. The problem we're having is that the maf sensor would only allows us to tune within a certain range. He said there's a range about 1500 rpm starting about 4500 rpm that no more power is being generated. I've order a mafia hoping that will allow maf sensor to see more air according to tuner. It's getting a little frustrating Prior to delete plates coming out with s/c we were able to tune just about full range. At that time maf sensor and mafia were mentioned. Didn' know of delete plates at that time Has anyone experienced a similar problem with tuning after delete plate mods. We are using SCT tuner. There more to the whole process that only my tuner knows.

The delete plates are a simple setting. I would find it hard to believe that you'd need a MAFia at this point. The stock MAF is good to about 500 rwhp.

You don't need a new MAF sensor. The stock one is plenty for any N/A car.

I'll mention that to my tuner. Car was on dyno for awhile while he talk to SCT had a problem with SCT's new program wouldn't let him change what ever without their permission. I'm going with the mafia anyway I don't know what else to do Their the omnly sct tunner I know of right now in this area williston vt.

I went with an SCT BA-5000 slot style replacement MAF instead of the MAFia.

Did he datalog the Maf counts and volts? I know Chris has tuned the Whipple HOs to 470rwhp with the stock slot type and not maxed out the sensor. He must not be certified advanced if he has to have some permissions.
