Default Dashboard squeaks

I have a 2006 Mustang GT Conv. 3000 miles. Since I purchased this car the dash squeaks horribly. I took it to the dealer a few times and they say they fixed it and it not and still a problem. Im pretty handy and have knowldge on cars enough to think I could figure out how to stop the squeaks. My only problem is that I have no idea how the top part of the dashboard off. Can anyone tell me how to get the top flat section of the dash off.

Thanks

I get rattles in mine. Are you sure its the dashboard though? It could be a number of things. Check all the panels in your car.

One time I had a terrible rattling for a week or so. Drove me nuts! Found out it was a writing pen in the door storage compartment!

My dash will squeak some during cold weather (guess the insulation shrinks) - no squeaks during warm weather though. I don't know if the attached pdf file will get you where you need to go. Good luck!

They all squeak a bit...just crank up the radio and step on the gas!

Check the drivers side pillar cover. I had what I though was a dash squeak that I just could not solve and it turned out to be the metal clips that hold the plastic pillar cover to the metal body of the car. I pulled the cover off and put a small piece of vinyl (electrical) tape over the clips and then reinstalled the cover and the squeak is gone
There is also a squeak associated with the air bag mounting bracket you might also want to look at.

I hate to admit it but my 07 GT convert with 6500 miles has more squeeks and rattles than my 3 year old Honda with 36K. But the GT is just so much fun to drive!
