Default I have hood cancer-2007 Mustang GT

I just noticed that I have bubbles on the front edge of my hood and it's even worse under the hood. I'll post pics tomorrow before I take it to the Dealer. This just started within the last couple of months.

thats quite shocking for such a new car(assuming your 07 mustang unless you have another one) Bubbles would be the least thing i would expect to see at 2 years old..i was expectin stress cracks in spots.. and im sure you washed taht thing prolly half a million times already,so maybe its just a common problem with the new mustang hoods

Not unusual... Ford had a problem with iron contamination in the seams on some aluminum hoods.

Here is a nice article on iron contamination and stainless steel.

I noticed it after I washed it and yes it is a problem with the aluminum hoods. This happen quick because I'm under the hood alot and never noticed it before.

Time for an aftermarket hood.

Sorry to hear about a fellow mustang owner and the hood cancer. My dealership "fixed" the hood the first time, it came back worse and bubbles were on the outside a couple months later. They replaced the hood the second time about 3 weeks before my warranty ran out. If possible, get them to REPLACE the hood, fixing it is impossible without cutting out the "infected" areas.

+1 on trying to get it replaced. I had my fixed at the dealership in January and it is already appearing in other spots. I'm leaning towards an aftermarket hood also since this seems to be one problem that just wont go away

The Dealer said that they will fix the problem spots and repaint the entire hood on both sides.

Here's a crappy pic of 1 of 5 spots. It's the seam on the under side of the hood.
