Default Click in the diff when shifting into reverse

Hey so lately when I'm driving if i shift into reverse (auto) i hear this 1 click in the back diff. It happens when i put it in neutral as well. It gets worse throughout the day, in the morning it wont be too noticeable but by the end of the day it's quite loud. I think it might be the u joints so i gonna have ford take a look it's under warranty anyways. Also, tried a donut in my car today and it was sooooo fun, how bad is this for my 2006 gt? I dont do them on a regular basis or anything just once in a while. Also, what happens if i do a 360 spin in my car then it starts to go backwards in reverse? just wondering.

Thanks
-Tim

Well donuts tare the hell out of the posi clutch pack. When was the last time you changed the fluid? And yes I would check everything from the ds to the rear.

Donuts are not the best way to have fun with the car.

OK...no need to make yourself feel cool by treating me like a retard. This sound started to come after my donut the other day. And also, I'm not complaining about this noise, I simply told you guys that it was there to see what you guys think. Anyways I'm gonna go get it checked out by ford sometime this week.

Oh save it, he is pointing out the obvious.

Maybe you should have mentioned that then.

No you didn’t, you just posted a description of the noise you heard and what you thought it was and then what you were going to do about it. Let’s be very clear, you NEVER asked what anyone thought the noise was.

We know, you already said that

May I suggest that when you want to post about how doing donuts is fun (which they are, I agree) that you make that the subject and don’t try and “back door” it on a post about a “problem” you are having, which you have solved.

They are not rules. They are simply things that define the personality of the poster. Thank you for defining yourself for us.

Now please allow me to define myself for you. First read my sig. Second I have gone faster, crashed harder and done more stuff related to speed than most likely everyone on this board. For an example I have crashed and bounced off the ground (motorcycle) at 167mph, which I am guessing is faster than most posters have gone short of being in a plane. I have gone 228mph on a public road on a turbocharged GSXR1000 with 417rwhp and we expect about 245mph this fall at Bonneville. I have won 10+ national championships related to vehicles on road courses. I even teach Roadrace classes for $1500/day. I can build/fabricate just about anything in the world. The only thing I don’t do is paint. I just started competitive pistol shooting last fall and I am already won a ton of matches and qualified for the national championships this fall. I’m an arrogant a$$ and assume I know more than just about anyone else. I have built more racebikes/fast cars from the chassis up than most people have had cars. My wife is smokin’ hot and not above bringing home a girl once in a while. And he bow on top is I am a MENSA member. I am the guy you wish you were and you are mad about it and would never admit it to yourself.

Most people don’t like me………and I could care less. I have small group of friends that are all outstanding in their own way.

I fully expect you to read this and think I am the biggest ***** in the world, and it bothers me none.

Enjoy

well you are a cocky b*sterd that's for sure. To tell you the truth, I'm 17 and this is my second car so no, I haven't built million dollar super cars like you. Haha, please post a picture of yourself or your wife because I would love to see it. Your wife is probly an old cow and I'm a member of a high IQ club as well, just wondering: which test did you perform to gain a mensa membership? P.S. If you've gone 228 MPH on a public road, you don't really sound cool to me you sound like a dumbass
