My car(auto) has been doing this for about 2 months.Stalling when coming to an intersection. Just comes to a very quiet stall and will start right back up again once I have put it in park or neutral. Sometimes it would throw a code sometimes not. Have replaced 4 ox sensors tps x2 sensor, acuattor, throttle body, fan and motor, air cleaner, fuel filter, fuel pump x2,air cleaner, new PCM, custom tune and upgraded Ford software. Now the techs are saying that whatever is ocurring is out side the parameters of their data logger. They now think it might be a wiring issue. My car is in the shop right now. If anbody has any answers it would be appreciated.Pretty new on here I hope this helps this thread?

I'm having similar issues. My RPMs are very low at idle, especially when coming to a stop. If the AC is on, it will sometimes flutter and cut off when the RPMs drop below 500. It started when I put on my K&N CAI and I was hoping my xCal3 tune would solve it, but no luck so far. Still waiting for a call back from the tuner guys, but I have no idea what could be causing this.
I have had 3 different shops doing things like tuning, dyno pulls and just plain checked for leaks. No one has ever mentioned any thing about the install being wrong. lol I somehow wish it was.

I know what you mean. I'm having failsafe issues lately that I can't seem to resolve.
Perhaps rising the idle a few hundred RPM could help. Or also, I know when getting a custom tune you can have the idle return daspot close quicker to get rid of the laggy slow throttle return to idle. If this is set to close too fast, it can stall the engine at times.
Failsafe X 3
My 06 has done the same thing twice. I was having other issues @ the time and not sure the dealer was shooting me straight on this issue. However suposedly they reflashed the PCM (corruped data) and it hasen't done it again. Its been 3 months.
Personal I would be concered if it was truely a failsafe issue.
Good luck.

On the Super Snake we had issue with Shelby Performance sent a brand new TB out with new TPS. We set the throttle body adjustment and it was good to go after that!

These are the codes that came up last time my car stalled:P2109,P2135,PO480.These parts have been replaced before yet still throwing codes?I have an updated custom tune already but now have ordered a new updated Procal tune in hopes that software might work. The wiring issue turned out to be not the problem. They are now waiting for a donor PCM that doesn't have any tunes uploaded into it to find out what seems to be causing this 'virus'.They seem to think this is now a software issue. I also asked about TB adjustment, that has been looked at. Oh Boy!!!
From your description it sounds as if the engine stalled. The fail safe would pertain to the electronic throttle system, this limits power to 20% to prevent the throttle from sticking wide open. You could have someone pull codes in a generic obdii mode, check pending codes. The Check Engine Light will usually only come on when the the code has matured(2 consecutive failures). A one shot deal may set a pending code. Without a code or being able to duplicate this could be a real challenge to diagnose. The suggestion of keeping your cell phone with you is always a good plan. Let's hope you have seen the last of it.
