Default Replacement speakers for 07 GT

Did a search on this through the forums. Got some great information on what to expect in the installation. But most of the post were old and with technology changing daily wanted to get some updated information.

Most post seem to indicate that the Infinity Speakers were the way to go. Still true now?

NOT looking to blast the windows out, looking for better sound clarity. Recommendations?

For actual install information please see:

Thanks

Like a lot of things, it's a matter of taste. I like the Memphis Audio speakers and will probably go with those to replace my stockers. Kicker also makes some nice 6X8's that sound really good. Alpine is always hard to beat also. The best thing is to go to an audio shop & have a listen.

Speaker selection is purely personal. I picked up a couple pairs of Pioneer 3-ways for $100 and was completely happy and I didn't break the bank.

And that link doesn't work.

I want to bash this so people understand music and sound systems. If you are the type that downloads music at high rates and doesn't pay attention to the quality they are downloading keep your speakers.

Most people in these newer car with already good sound systems waste money changing them out because they downloaded a low MB (quality) song.

If it's a CD it should be good.

I have the 08 GT with the 500 not 1000 and besides needing to add the bass to the trunk a little it sounds great.

If you download music look for at least 6-8 MB they will sound amazing while 2 and 3 sound like crap and cause your some to rattle and speakers to buzz.

I don't care what you download, the Skipper 500 sucks.
