Default drivers side rear rotor wont come off.

So i got all 3 other rotor's off perfectly fine but when i go to remove the one on the rear drivers side it wont budge. Anyone know what up with it? is there something special i should have to do with that one perticular rotor or should it come off the same as the others?

It should come off just like the others. Wack it with a soft mallet

Just make sure you clean it off with some brake clean before you put it back together

Ooh ooh! I might know!!! There are little black retaining rings that are designed to hold the rotors in place. They aren't important at all, but Ford put them on some wheels for convenience (for them! ).

Make sure you don't have a black ring on any of the threads. Good luck!

Is the parking brake on that side? If so you may need to get a brake spoon (or similar tool) to loosen off the parking brake before the rotor will come off.

No its not like a vette. there are no small shoes on the inside of the rotors.

I figured that the retainer clips were already removed.

Well i mean all other three rotors came off easy as hell. i took the retainer clip off but ill look for some little ring inbetween the wheel stud whole.

BY "Parking break" do you mean E brake because i have a manual and i dont park in gear.

both of my rear rotors required ALOT of not so gentle persuasion with a rubber mallet. No worries bud, it'l bust loose eventually, just give er a whack or 10 with the rubber mallet.

Stick with the mallet...if all else fails, beat it! You will probably find a little bit of corrosion between the back of the rotor and hub.

That's great. It's usually just some rust.
