I don't think you can buy that motor. Newtakeoff.com has TB's for $200 shipped.

Default 2005 Mustang Gt Fail Safe

Thanks for the lead on a great price on a TB. This is a rebulder car. Some wires have been cut but and she goes into the body shop next week. I have a new wiring harness to go on. I carefully made sure all my wires are secure. The comment on the cruise control prior makes me wonder if my problem is electrical. Hate to buy parts and still have problems. Is now the time to buy a Hi Performance TB. Do they really deliver performance like the 62mm. Where do you buy those guys cheap

If you're planning to go with a turbo or supercharger a bigger TB will help but not for NA it won't help much.

It might... You could also have a wiring harness short.

I would wait till you get the new harness in and see what happens. No you don't need a Hi Performance TB. Stay with what you have.

Is the Throttle Body a problem a common problem with 4.6? Is a used one at half the cost a good bet? Is it the electronis on the right side the problem? Can you buy just the electronics? Whats the best price on fixing this?. Can they be tested. Sorry for all the questions Im trying to get an well rounded solution. Thanks

I have seen them fail more frequently as of late. Most often it's the throttle position sensor (passenger side) that fails. The actuator motor side is rarely the problem. If that does fail, the only solution is a new throttle body.

Default Throttle positioning sensor

I can get the sensor tps for 75.00. might be worth a try. Does polishing the Throttle plate help HP. Does the plate adaptors really work?
