Default is it a good decision to stroke and S/C?

I know I'm gonna supercharge soon, but it would also be nice to have forged internals to avoid problems and get some extra HP. If a person was to forge, would it be a wise thing to go stroked while you're at it?? Would this go good with a supercharger? I really don't know much at all about stroking a motor. All I know is it gives you more displacement...which is a good thing.

I would get the stoker kit from livenois motorsorts it handles up to 1000hp and gives you a 298ci displacement in return i believe. about 2,000 or so.

I am very picky about hp and I wont supercharge until I get new internals to handle big power not 400 like some do Iam sorry but 400-440 even the engine bottom end redline of 500rwhp is depressing for the amount of money a supercharger cost.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. Theres too many "clowns" around here that just throw a supercharger on and thats it, don't even do anything to the suspension or anything. You know the guys, theres some in every town. More money than brains...u know.

Anyway, I'll be looking into it. If I don't stroke the motor, I'll atleast be putting in some stuff to handle more HP. I plan getting the roush R2300 or a whipple(looking like a roush the way their price sits right now). So then if I want I can put more PSI to the motor.

Keep your compression low if you plan to supercharge.

That's a must. Give the guys at Livernois a call and tell them what you doing and they can head you in the right direction

We run a 302 stroker with a good size turbo. Even though the major components (motor, power adder, transmission, etc) come from different vendors, all have to work as one unit. Therefore, we discuss purchases with all the vendors in a team approach.
