Are you talking about IMRC delete plates?

I think you're confusing them with throttle body spacers.

Save your money, they are good paper weights.

I know that it is the general consensus that the TB spacers are only good for paper weights, but I was wondering if it was acceptable to use one to offset my CAI enough that my Amsoil conical filter (it is slightly longer than the C&L filter) will stop rubbing on my inside fender well when the inlet tube slips in the coupling and rotates down slightly? Damn gravity and engine vibration.

I think you'd be better served to get a sliightly shorter cone filter.

I've thought of that, but:
A) it looks great
B) no oil, no washing all I do to clean it is blow some low pressure air from the inside and then use my wife's Dyson suck off what didn't get blow out completely.
C) The propaganda on their website is impressive.
D) it looks great
My current method is a few rubber & metal washers stacked under the CAI heat shield screw. When I hear it start to rattle against the fender well I have to loosen the hose clamps at the TB rotate the inlet tube up and tighten while supporting the filter end. This is good for a few hundred miles and then the vibration wins out.

Well, A & D make a good argument. I suppose a spacer would work.
