Default 1/4 mile Drag Racing 2005 GT Vert 1st time questions

Hi all, I'm planing doing some test & tune runs at Palm Beach International Raceway on my newly acquired 2005 GT Vert. Its a bone stock 5 speed and still has the original PZero's. The only thing I've done so far is remove the pre cat from the intake hose. I used to test & tune my old '91 GT at the old Morosso, now PBIR, so I'm not a total noob, just new to this car. I got the 91 from mid 15's to low 14's.

I have several 2005 specific questions:
Would you recommend lowering the rear tire pressure?
This is my first car with TCS. Should I turn TCS off or leave it on?
What RPM to launch from and shift at? Power shift or lift the gas?
What ET do you think I can achieve with the stock 5 speed vert?

Thanks in advance.

No, lowering the tire pressure on a street radial won't help.
Turn off the TCS.
I'd launch around around 3K on those tires.
Powershift and you are asking for tranny/clutch problems.
I'd say in Florida with a vert you'd be ~14.7

1) I lower my air pressure to around 16 psi at the track. Helps a little but a set of drag radials on extra wheels is really the only way to hook. Do a small burnout outside the water on your street tires.
2) No TCS. Cuts power way too much.
3) I usually launch around 2000-2500 and slip the clutch. This really depends on your track.
4) Kurgan is right about powershifting. It may be quicker but it's really up to you.
5) I'd guess you can pull a 14.2 on a perfect pass in cool weather.
