Default 2007 Mustang GT-NITROUS, Am I asking for trouble?

Hey everyone, so I'm debating on getting nitrous for my 07 gt, is it really reliable or am I just setting my self up for a failure? I'm thinking of running the zex 75 or 100 shot wet system. The only mods I have done are: K&N cold air, BBK throttle body, Steeda UDP's, Pypes o/r x-pipe, Ford Racing GTA mufflers, Ford racing 4.10's, Hurst short throw shifter, J&m LCA's and a SCT x-cal 2 with a Bama 91 race tune. I know I would have to get a nitrous specific tune but pretty sure Doug at Bama will help me out with that. So do you guys running nitrous recomend me doing it or should I stay away from it? My car is my daily driver so I dont wanna jepordize reliabilty.

nitrous isnt dangerous for an EFI car especially if your only running a 100 shot.

I see you have a manual. You're going to need a window switch. I would also look into getting a wideband.

Colder plugs are a must. Doug's tune is spot on. You will be good with his 100 shot tune. I must say this if your going to play please be prepared to pay. I have been ok ,and many others I know have been also. There is a lot you need to know so learn as much as you can. Do not spray with traction control on. Do not spray in overdrive.Check your plugs after every run. You will need to know what to look for. I will find you a link which will help you out. If you do it right you should be fine. The thing is there are no guarantees. Doug will help you a lot , and there are people here who will help you. Kurgan is knowledgeable for sure. Plstang is very helpful and very knowledgeable.

I shot 100 shot in a 3.0 mitsubishi for 3 years and was fine. I would not go over 125 shot to be on the safe side (ever) . Change the plugs too .

Like any other power adder it's perfectly safe if set up correctly. Cut corners and it will spank you though.

Let me know how it works out. I'm planning to do a 75shot ZEX kit.

I'm running a 100 shot on E85. Made sure you strap to a dyno when you squeeze for the 1st time. Always play it safe and make sure your tune and A/F are safe. I'm running VMP's tunes.

Have fun with it nitrous it a great and cheap way to make power atyleast till you fill your bottle and A$$ load of time then its not so cheap.

But with the right stuff it's easy I got a tune from tillman for mines and it works great.

Proud user of nitrous for a year now and not looking back.

One question I have is how often can you use it? I know a certain amount of self control has to be used but I also don't want to be scared of it. If I go to the track and make 5 runs that night with spray and do this weekly, am I asking for trouble? I go to the track nearly every Friday.

This is what I do, and you will be ok . As long as you do not go around spraying all the time you should be just fine. The more you learn the more you will be safe.
