Default COP, and spark plug change engines runs

Mark after reading you thread about multiple malfunctions I ordered and received some cop from summit. Changed cop and plugs fired up does not idle but runs. Look at a couple old plugs didn't look very good actually 6 and 7 cylinder. I now have to get it fine tuned for new pumps and relocation of MAF. It's a shame after just getting it tuned at Tillmans runs too bad to drive that far again. I'm going to follow your lead and hands off. Only new mods are going to be cosmetic. Hopefully chris at Tillmans can send me a updated tune to get this beast to a tune shop. Oringinal tuner is about 30 miles away.

Well at least you're making some progress . I'm still struggling with a rough cold idle so I still have to work that. I think I've either got a clogged fuel filter or I have a fuel volume problem. I'm taking it to my shop on Monday since I'm tired of messing with it at this point.

its hard for me to belive that new cop's changed your tune so much that your car has idle and drivability issues. maybe some one will correct me but it seems a bit fishy to me.

Had a summit cop go out with less then 5000 miles on it on a buddies car. On my car it was missing and all kinds of weird stuff, so I data logged it. It was dumping fuel like no tomorrow, it ended up being a cracked spark plug arking. The plugs were brand new, I didn't even pull it out of the garage. It took me a week of testing all kinds of stuff before I found the problem. It did not throw a check engine light.

I've added GT500 dual pumps and relocated my MAF. The tune I had was with the original pump with a piggyback pump supplied by procharger. With dual pumps I now have two fuel pressure control modules. New tune is required.

I hope he can fix it for you. You've had enough headachs for a while....

Thanks Drew I think things were going bad before I went to Tillmans. I had a couple of COP DTC codes before then reset them. I think the trip down, tune and the trip back took it's toll on coils. I had two plugs with discolored ceramics.

The ceramic insulator around the electrode or the ceramic plug body?

I've had MSD COP's on my 05 for about 10K miles with no issues and no need to change anything with the tune. Perhaps this is something more to do with being F/I, as I am not.
