The most common causes of noise in the front suspension are loose connections on the sway bar links and bad strut pads. The pads are made of heavy duty plastic with ball bearings and can wear out. If the accident was to the front it is very easy for a shop to miss a bad strut pad when they fix it. Mention this stuff when you get it looked at. If you search this forum you will find almost everyone has had a complaint about noise from the suspension on these cars. Even on brand new ones. The noise you hear is not necessarily from the repair. Educate yourself about these cars and you most likley will find the answere. GA

Seriously, thanks to a deer encounter and large storm blown oak tree, my car has had almost 10G in repairs - and was never hurt mechanically, only cosmetically. Even if it damaged the mechanicals, as long as it was fixed correctly, it doesn't make it a bad car. Lots of used cars have had encounters. Have it checked out thouroughly and find out what's really wrong. It's impossible for us to do more than guess. Maybe you would have bought a different car if you'd known, but you have it now. Spend a few bucks to get checked and save yourself heartache in the future.
And don't trust a guy at a tire store to check the frame. Take it to the best body shop in town and let them check it. They see it every day.

If you have only had cosmetic damage and you are hearing odd noises, check everything under the hood and in the fender wells to ensure everything is fastened down. I had a similar issue a number of years ago with another vehicle and found the inner fender to be loose as well as the battery which was causing all kinds of weird noises when going over bumps. Sometime when body shops are in a hurry they focus on the complicated part of the repair and miss the small stuff.
I wouldnt be surprised if it was a loose bolt somewhere. And I don't mean loose as in falling out, I mean loose as in just not torqued all the way. If the repair shop that did the work didn't use new fasteners and didn't use locktite to keep them secure, they could have easily come loose after driving for a while.
I had the same noises after doing my spring installation. I had the torque specs for the bolts but I had no way of using a torque wrench on them so I just guessed as best as possible. My guess was wrong and after driving a few weeks I started to get a "clunk" noise every time I would go over a bump. It got progressively worse too.
I would start by contacting the shop that did the work, that is if you know how to get ahold of them. Get your hands on an invoice if you can, find out what parts they replaced and figure out what they would have taken off in order to do that. Then you can get some torque specs on the bolts that they would have had to reinstall and check them.
If you can't do that, I'd recommend just going over every bolt in your front suspension (there's not too many of them, shouldn't take too long) and make sure every one is torqued down properly. If you find a loose one, it might be a good idea to use some locktite so it doesn't come loose again.

ok, my 05 ford mustang, i dint even know! carfax and autocheck didnt catch this, the car was in a 9376 dollar accident. i got the car checked out and they said everything was fine. but the parts looked TOOOO NEW for an 05! i got a loss history report, and the car had a ******* accident. ridiculous. then it just so happens that the same day, my front right side of my car makes this massive clunk sound when i go over a bump or when i turn the wheel. i took it to my car place and they say that its like the suspension or something. they know its the front right wheel. its an automatic. please please please help me i love my stang and i dont want to have to sell it!
Hey you know CarFax has a buy back guarantee if they don't catch an accident right? I'm pretty sure if you call them they will buy the car from you...or pay for the repairs...if I remember correctly...just an FYI.
They have some wording in there that protects them from all out liability. I think it says that it has to be a reported accident, and like someone said, if the accident wasn't reported to the insurance company, Carfax wouldn't know about it and the buy-back gurantee wouldn't apply.

Check out the TSB's for front end noise If I remember right there are three ... front end clunk on mine was the upper strut mount and dealer fixed under warranty.

I'm still trying to figure out why a problem that is/was bad enough to get rid of the car has not been looked at by a shop yet.
Its been days. Whats the problem with the car? Was it ever wrecked even or was that some sort of jump to conclusion? Any news?

That clunk sounds just like the common failed strut mount symptoms. Seems like the passenger side is the more common one to fail as well. That'd be where I looked first. Aftermarket upgrade parts are about $250-300 for a set. No biggie!
