Default SLP long tube install

I have been looking to install long tubes on my car before the F.I. in the spring. I think I have settled on the SLP, because I'm not looking to shell out the money for Kooks. Just wondering is the SLP long tubes require rear o2 extensions.

Also...feel free to throw in your personal 2 cents about what long tubes to buy if you feel theres a better option than SLP that is cheaper than KOOKS

I run SLP long tubes, but I can't remember if they needed extensions or not.

You can always call SLP and ask them just to be sure.

I've had them since August '08. No leaks, no fitment issues. No issues of any kind. They are very high quality headers. The muffler shop said the headers fit so well, you'd think they came on there from the factory and that the install was very easy for them.

SLP Catted X.

Apparently, 'SLP Catted X' isn't enough characters for a post, so I'll type this useless sentence instead.

They do require extensions for the rear but not the front. The cats are absolute crap. Cats sit well below the frame rail and will hit anything you drive over (speed bumps, parking barriers, steep driveways). I hit my cats so many times that they eventually gave way and almost cost me my engine.

It's tough because they are just so big. You could replace them with some smaller Pypes or Magnaflow compact cats.

Or that... But then you've got yourself an offroad X and will have to disable the rear O2 sensors.

+1
I have them with thier catted X pipe also.
They do scrape every now then. You have to be carefull when you go over driveways and such.
I also have the Roush lowering springs in the rear though.
My biggest complaint is you have to remove the passanger side header to do a clutch.

That's odd... Mine didn't have to come off when I did the clutch.

You'll have to have them made by an exhaust shop. SLP no longer sells them. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to fab up a couple pipes.
