I'm just performing my patriotic duty. At least this one is an easy fix. Just have to replace a $40 resistor on the fan. Apparently this is a very common problem on the GTs. I don't know how long I was running without it. For now, I just lowered the high speed setting to 184*. That should tide me over until I get the part. Other than that, it's running better than it has since I installed the supercharger.

Geez man! This is getting ridiculous... I just had my brother wire my high speed fan to a toggle switch, it's pretty handy.

Now that's not a bad idea. I may look into that.

Well hopefully after this fix, you'll be able to really test it out. I must say, I don't think I could have put up with all the troubles you have. Your definitely a trooper. Now, I want to see some dyno numbers and track times.

I'll just be happy if I can trust it to drive back and forth to work for now.

I do not think mine is working properly either. Did you have to dish out a lot on this one?

It was just a shade over $40 from Bob Utter Genuine Ford Parts www.bobutterfordparts.com.

Test it first. Set your low speed fan to come on at 170 and the high speed at 190. Then watch your temps. If the temperature gets to 190 without anything kicking on, you've likely got the resistor problem.

I'm about to give up on this thing. Supercharger is off again for the same oil return leak. I've never seen a brass hose barb crack before. I managed to get the old one off and found a suitable replacement at True Value. So that problem is solved. However, I see now that I also have a radiator leak so I've ordered a new 2.25" dual core performance radiator to replace it. I don't know who I pissed off, but someone sure doesn't like me.

It's been a rough year for the old girl. It's sitting in pieces again and I'm going to be on travel with the Air Force starting tomorrow. Looks like another extended downtime. Oh well, radiator is an easy job. I'll probably have to modify the fan shroud since the radiator is twice as thick and the Vortech intake is not going to fit quite right.

Well everything is out... Looks kinda naked in there. It's going to sit this way for at least the next week while I'm out of town.

Well I'll admit the Cobra has never needed a "major" repair, but 4 A/C compressors, 5 alternators, a clutch/presssure plate at 80K, new axle bearings, new seats, new steering wheel and just about anything attached to the car being replaced should constitute major money if not repairs...the infiniti? 90K miles and only one repair, a new ECM; covered by warranty (and the dealer treats you like a country club member!) it still runs like a new car and will outrun any stock mustang...survey says if I wanted to buy a new car, I would have to go jap...luckily I make enough money to own more than one car, so the Stangs get to stay as toys

That infinity might have more horsepower but it won't outrun a stock Mustang GT...

Too much weight.

STL I have a feeling this is your last problem. I think she's just mad cuz you won't take her to the track.

Yeah STLwagon I hope this is it. I hope you get her back together and she runs great. Im dying to know what the car will run in the 1/4.
Yeah I looked up times on the M45 too after reading and Motor Trend got a 14.1. Not bashing just saying I dont think its faster than a stock GT.
