Default Here we go again bogging!!

Ok, Still waiting on tillman to call me back for data logging info. But I have been driving everynight for a while since roads are deserted to get a better idea of whats going on. I now know whats going on but dont know a solution yet so here we go!!!!

Cruizing at about 35 to 40mph I give it some gas to accelerate rpm is about 2k at this point. So anywhere from a tiny bit to about 1/2 throttle and the car will upshift. Once it upshifts the rpms drop! Thus my bogging! Its like a manual starting in 2nd from a stop.

Any ideas?

Based on your tranny's and differential's(3.31) gear ratios, and an approx. 27" tire diameter, your car should be in 4th gear at approx. 40 mph and 2000 rpm.
So are you saying that the tranny upshifts into 5th gear when you depress the gas pedal under those conditions? Because it seems that it should downshift into 3rd gear.

Certainly sounds like your shift points need adjusting.
