Default Steeda bump steer kit installation

For those of you with the Steeda bump steer kit:

I found two different sets of instructions on the website and was wondering which method you used.

Which method is the correct way to install the bump steer kit

A) Steeda Bump-steer Kit Installation Instructions

B) http://www.steeda.com/directions/555-8106_bumpsteer_kit.pdf

Method B is what came my bump steer kit and is what I used. It appears like the only difference is in how to assemble the aluminum collar and rod end.

Method A has the aluminum collar threaded onto the tie-rod with the jam nut initially set at the original location. The rod end is then threaded into the collar so the the bump steer tie-rod is the same length as the OEM one. The caveat for this method is that the rod end should be threaded at least 1 inch into the aluminum collar.

Method B calls for the inner tie rod jam nut to be moved 3/16" out from the original location and the aluminum collar is installed to that position. The rod end is then screwed into the collar with its jam nut bottomed on the threads. The caveat for this method is that that rod end should not be threaded out more than 1/8"

I assume that adjusting toe is done by loosening the inner jam not and threading the inner tie-rod into or out of the aluminum collar.

I am just curious because I came across method A instructions by accident and noticed that they were different from what I did when installing the kit.

Thanks,
Mike

Are there any dates on these instructions? The later date might be the current spec. I can't help more than that, I'm not even sure what "bump steer" is or if I have it.
