Default Another Newbie question, this time regarding lowering springs

As I have now been bitten by the mod bug, I was wandering about lowering springs. I was talking to a guy that sells them here in Canada, and he said that when you lower your vehicle with these springs ( EIbach, FRPP, etc) you also have to adjust the alignment; in particular you have to purchase camber and castor adjustment plates as well as the springs to align the wheels properly. Any opinions on this? I thought all you had to do was just have the springs installed?

You will likely need camber plates or bolts for the front and an adjustable panhard bar in back. A good front end alignment is also a must.

I lowered my 07 GT with the Vogtland springs (1.3") & didn't have to do the camber plates. Alignment & usually an adjustable panhard bar are a must.

Like Aquacop, but with Steeda sport...alignment but caster / camber, etc not necessary. I have adjustable panhard but it is set to factory length...

so if your adjustable panhard bar has been set to factory length, does that mean it was not needed?

I really does depend on how much you plan on lowering your car. The more extreme you go with the lowering the more accommodations (additional after market parks)you will need to make it all work correctly. I installed a Roush kit (sway bars, springs and shocks. lowered the front 1" and the back 1.5") and was able to get by with only an adjustable pan hard bar and camber bolts.
