Default C&L Racer intake vs. JLT Intake

I might be in the market for a CAI and a SCT tune from JDM within the next month or so and I'm looking at these two intakes. JLT is cheaper so I'm leaning more towards it.

Just wanted to know which of these intakes do you guys think would be a better choice?

Thanks.

I would choose the JLT. They are both awesome intakes but the money you could save is a start on another mod.

Yeah both are good intakes. I too would go with the JLT. JDM also has that JDM intake that looks like a steeda except it has a black heat shield. It is a 90mm maf I believe.
You will really like the CAI/tuner package as you can feel the added power.
Have Fun...

I've run both... The fit and finish on the C&L is a little better.

I think of it this way... C&L is a better intake. JLT is a better deal.

Both offer extremely similar performance results... So just need to choose how much money you want to spend!

Yeah I thought about it and I will have enough money left over for some Steeda charge motion delete plates and then some.

I looked at their intake, thing is I want to get rid of the factory rubber boot and its just the MAF and filter for the same price as a JLT. I can tell it will make a difference though, I cant wait. lol

Yeah the C&L looks like its more solid, do you think the elbow tube on the JLT collapsed any at WOT?

I would recommend the C&L if you plan to do more N/A mods later down the road, like cams, long tubes, delete plates, etc. The JLT will work fine if you plan to stay mostly stock.

The C&L intake itself is great. The heat shield leaves something to be desired. Not a great fit or well integrated. I know, not the important part of the intake, but still...

Mine cracked at the lone bolt hole. I temporarily solved the problem by sandwiching it in there with 2 rubber washers, but I need to get around to calling C&L to get a new one.

Check out Tunable Induction, their prices are right there with JLT, and they seem to beat or hold their own in comparsions.
