Yes, but I like to use the word film,, as coat implies a lot more then is desired for this application.. On a fastener someplace it does not matter,, On the plug is does.. you just trying to keep carbon from sticking to the shield. Also use Nickel, not the more common copper anti seize.. Nickel has a higher temp rating

If you put too much on, it'll drip down onto the electrode.

I just changed mine, you'll need a 9/16 spark plug remover, nickel anti-seize, seafoam deep creep, paticence, torque wrench, spark plugs ( i used champions), stlwagon, sparkplug gapper .045 is what i spaced mine to, and paticence. Good luck Take Your Time!

Alright lots of input with this one. Well the swap went over without a hitch. I performed the swap at "room temp" and used seafoam as as presoak for an hour. And each came out without any issues. Cracked them first at about 1/4 turn and then presoaked up to the top of the hex and let stand for one hour. Then 1/4 turn out, then 1/8 turn back, repeating until no threat of high binding or excessive torque.

So for those about to do this take your time and don't push it. Like some smart ass once said, if it don't fit don't force it ! Or in other words don't load these plus coming out with to much torque 33 - 35 ft lbs max. If they don't move with this then stop and soak some more !

When removing broken plugs, I use compressed air blown into the intake. Roll the engine untill the intake valve on the problem cylinder opens. Now any debris will be blown out as you drill or tap.

As I research my pending plug change, I just wanted to comment that this is a terrific idea!
