Question 2006 Mustang GT Clutch Noise

The car runs fine, but last weekend I noticed a slight rattling-type noise as I eased up to a stop sign. I let the clutch out slightly ( about an inch) and pushed it back in. Noise gone. Now, I was out to test it. It came back every other stop and did not matter if I had it in gear or neutral. Is this a sign of throw out bearing problems?

It's under a 7-70 warranty. Oh, the synchros were replaced last year ( 2nd gear impatience)

Thanks All

Who cares what the problem is. If it's still under warranty, bring it to Ford and let them handle the problem. Then come back and tell us what it was.

It is making the noise as you roll up to stop with the transmission in neutral? If that is the case I doubt it is your throwout. You would notice problems with the throwout as you engage/disengage the clutch. Start with the simple first. Have you gotten under neath the car yet? Look for anything loose or foreign debris.

If it's anything clutch-related (clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder etc), you're going to likely have to pay for it yourself. Clutch components are considered wear-n-tear items like tires or windshield wipers.
