is it alright to put the muffler hanger through either the top portion or botom portion of the rubber hanger piece? In other words slide the hanger over or under rubber hole?? IM curious because i tried everything, but the only way I was able to get my muffler to line up without a tilt was to slide the steel hanger above the rubber whole. Thanks

If that is what you have to do than that is what you have to do. You maybe adding some additional stress to the metal hanger attached to the muffler. You should be able to get it to line up though.

Are you trying to do this alone? A helping hand that has done this install already makes things much easier. Chesterfield is about an hour away. PM if you want to swing by sometime and I can give you a hand.

Thanks for the offer about helping out. I'm gonna see if I can still mess around with it though and get a solid alignment.
