Default No catalytic converters?

I would like to be able to run with out catalytic converters, but I have to pass an emissions test before I can get a tag every year where I live. Is there any software I can buy to fool my car's computer into thinking there are cats when there are none? I had MIL Eliminators on my '00 Ford Ranger, but I can't find any for an S197. I did it on the Ranger only to make the Flowmaster sound better, I didn't notice any gains. Would I see any gains on the Mustang? The only mods other than suspension and GT500 wheels I have is Ford Racing CAI, FR X-pipe, FR software, and FR mufflers. Is it worth it?

Just get a mid pipe with high flow cats. The difference in power will be minimal and you will be keeping the liberals happy too. As usual this is just my opinion. Or if you really want no cats, Pypes sells a modular mid pipe where you can swap out the high flow cats and put them back in. But Ive heard of fit issues with some Pypes products.

There is nothing you can do to the computer to trick it into thinking it has cats. You can disable the rear O2s but then you'll still show an OBDII not reeady condition which will still fail you.

No. Without cats your car will automatically fail anyway.
