I am thinkin about chippin my 05' GT. Most of the chips I have saw are between $700-$1000 and I am wondering if the performance is worth the coin?

If by "chipping" you mean a performance tuner... the answer is hands down yes, they are a worthy investment.

$700-$1000?? Get yourself a tuner and a good custom tune instead. Much more utility and a lot cheaper.

Go with a hand-held tuner instead, SCT or Diablo for around $380 usually with 3 tunes. Brenspeed, Bama, Tillman speed, etc. all offer comparable packages.

Nobody puts chips in S197 Mustangs. Get a hand held flash device like an SCT III.

Yes! SCT and a CAI woke my ride UP.

Do It... Tuner that is. I have the brenspeed SCT Tuner CAI intake kit and it was like a whole new car. Really like the 93 octane tune so haven't tried the 87 or 89 yet.
