2008 Mustang GT factory HID compatibility?

Not quite sure on this, are these compatible with my factory HID's??

I've read that the HID's might melt the aftermarket housing??, but not sure. I'm really diggin' these and am ready to order them up, just want some reassurance that they will work before I "pull the trigger". Thanx guys

I can't imagine why anyone would want smoked headlights.

Maybe if you could think past the color of your car ducky.

AM is a reputible seller, I dont think they would sell you hid's that would compramise your car.

I'm not buying the HID's from AM, I have the stock HID's that came from the factory. These are new headlight housings with the halo ring around the headlight and I just wanted to make sure these will work with my HID's.

I guess i didnt know that any mustangs came with hid's. Is it a package upgrade or somthing they started later like 2007+

You have the factory HID's & you want Halo's? I think you'll find the aftermarket Halo & factory halogen headlight assemblies are the same or very similar. However, the halogen & factory HID housings are not.

The factory parts ($$$) sold by AM to convert halogen to HID are different. I've haven't seen a Halo conversion kit for the factory HID's, and I have been looking for a while for my '07 GT.

I don't see why they wouldn't work.... the HID bulbs are still H13's and that's the size that the aftermarkets take, why can't they just plug into the new housings?? The only difference that I can see is inside my stock housing is a "chrome" piece that extends out beyond the bulb and kinda covers it. Another site that I looked on was trying to sell the same housings and was saying to install their HID kit WITH the aftermarket housing for optimal visibility, so I really don't see why they wouldn't work??
