Default 65.5K Spark Plug Removal - Success!

Well after being terrified by all the horror stories about removing the OEM spark plugs I finally took the plunge and replaced my spark plugs with HTO's tonight. Took a little over six hours (let the aerokroil soak while I watched football - not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon) the plugs sure did make alot of screeching coming out but all of them came out - I wish I had my camera handy but the plugs were really clean for 65K+ miles (Citgo gas 93 octane).

Had to share as this was brothering me since I was suffering from plug issues related to my Saleen SC - runs tons better with the HTO's installed.

There is a question here and it is - at what interval would you pull the plugs and check them again? (I am not going to go another 65K+ before pulling them again).

Did you coat the barrels of the new ones with anti-seize?

Yes, a very light coat since I didn't want to put too much on and end up fowling the plugs - I even put a very small amount on the threads therefore was looking to see when you would re-check or torque the plugs (I might do it the next time I change the oil).

I have to pull mine about every 1000 miles to inspect for damage but I think at your next oil change would be good.
